I installed the latest bin from the files section and when I turned on the receiver it has a screen stating: "Entering the wrong receiver number may harm your receiver."

What is this and what do I do?

Thanks!

from CW

YOU WILL BE ASKED TO ENTER THE SERIAL NUMBER OF YOUR BOX.

Use your remote control number buttons to enter the serial number

I entered the correct serial number from the bottom of the receiver and the warranty card twice and twice was told I had an invalid serial number. I checked the markers for a clone and verified my model is an original (purchased about 7 months ago I think). The only way I could get it to work was to use one of the serial numbers which you posted. Ridiculous!

While entering the numbers the CW remote did double entries and I had to push the button twice for other entries in typical CW fashion. I therefore had to reboot each time the &^%$# thing registered an incorrect number. Yet another reason to wish I had not purchased this veritable piece of junk. If you are thinking of getting one, don't.

I entered the number on my box, but had to do it twice and everything went thru.

Thanks for your help.
