To buy or not to buy?

Hello all. I'm new to this forum and to FTA. I have read all the information I can find on Nagra 3 and I can't decide what to do. I am interested in FTA as a whole and of course for the channels. I am looking at buying my first STB and wanted to know if I should hold off.
If N3 is not cracked how many other channels would I have access to off the FTA sats?
Assuming N3 is cracked will I need a new box ( I looked at the poll, i just wanted some extension on your opinion)?
If you where in my shoes would you just wait it out or buy a box now?

I wouldn't but anything, maybe someone would donate a old working one but it's your call. If you do buy, make it cheap like 60 bucks, and wait it out.

And if any sponsor want s to boot me, go for it...............cheers TM.

Trucky is spot on...However my local D/N dood says nag 3 is quite a ways off.. D/N boxes are down more than they are up right now..they got their hands full...BUY A BOX !!:D

Buy a new box and some dishes . In a month it's payed for.

Your looking at about almost 700 channels with DN.One used box,one dish with bracket and 2 lnbs..Prolly 150- 200 bucks and it would cover itself in 3 months..then after the changeover..upgrade to a great box like Sonicview and live happly ever after:D
