360 Elite/Premier PVR question

This may be a dumb question, but I want to confirm. Does the Premier record in the same format as the Elite? In other words, if I record something on the elite, can I play it back on the premier without having to go through the hassle of converting the files? I'm considering another stb, the premier is a bit less money and I don't really need the dual tuner of the elite. Thanks!

Yes the Premier and the Elite do record in the same format, I own both and yes you can watch the files on each, the only difference in the two is that the Elite is a dual tuner and they use different files to update. The both record in ts format. Hope this answered your question.
