SV 360 Premier no channels

I recently installed a 18x24 dish with 3DSS dual LNBS for 101W,110Wand119W. I ran those to a Disecq switch and that to my receiver. I tuned the dish to get a 94% signal on 119, a 88% on 101 and a 76% on 110. but no matter which satellite I scan I receive no channels. I have not downloaded any files for the receiver yet as it is brand new. Any suggestions.

Ok. Forget about your DTV dish.
In order to advise you, we need to know what make and model dish you have.
Either take a picture of it or describe it in detail so we identify it please......
From what you describe so far, you need to get another dish................

The "signal" you're getting just means you're connected to the lnb. You need to get "quality" in order to scan for channels.

Ok,Im sure you are probably right about the signal meaning the LNB is connected to the receiver and powered up as I read that somewhere else. But why does the signal strength change tremendously as you move the dish around, it must have some relationship to the satellite and not just an electrical connection. Just asking?

The "signal" (voltage) will increase when when "quality" is achieved..........

We have lift off! After trying what Ledge advised me to do by passing Disecq switch and hooking 1 LNB direct, I slowly moved the Dish down about 8 degrees and got about 80% quality on 119 or echostar7. I scanned abot 250 or so channels. The only problem now is it says No signal or channel scrambled or channel locked on many of them. I am going to rehook the other 2 LNBs and try scanning 110 and 101. Any other suggestions? And BIG THANKS to all who helped.

If your auto roll is turned on,. give it time so things can kick in. ALWAY REMEMBER to turn off and unplug the reciever before palying with cable, or hooking anything up.

Ok, now we can advise you.
Now you need to bring the diseqc back into your set-up.
Sat 101 is a non-factor, it's a DTV sat. Don't bother hooking it up.
For now just connect 110/119/129 to the diseqc.
Take note of which sat goes to which port.

You mentioned in your post, that you have not loaded any files. Do this first! Try putting on channel 100, if you have picture 110 is working , channel 101 is 119. These two channels always work !!!!! If these channels don't work ... adjust settings in installation menu.:cool:

Where do you find autoroll on the sv360 premier menu? I searched but could not find it.

OK thanks. I scanned 110,119,and129. I have bunches of channels from each. Plenty were working now everyone of them says no service or scrambled. Some say locked and ask for a code and a few say no signal. I am switching to the satellite I downloaded the channels on and it is still showing a strong signal and 80% quality but I can no longer get a picture.

Also, when you're in the menu and you're ready to scan, Does the sat in the upper right hand corner match the sat you're trying to scan?

The only CNN I have is 450 something in spanish. and Im not sure what u mean by letting keys roll.

Also Ledge, it seems the upper RH corner says echostar8 no matter which SAT i switch to.

Your only getting that 1 sat.The others are'nt coming in for some reason.

you need to point your dish better.... i had the same issue prior. if you get it pointed optimal, you will have what you are looking for. aim for e7...

I tried moving dish around on e7 to no avail. I am on e8 with 99% signal and 80% quality. Of the 364 channels scanned only the Pirate channel will play.

Andy..AR is on now right?And have you left it on a strong signal channel for keys to roll?
And Im assumming the bin from Jan 8th is loaded..

:coolup: now onto to your diseQ switch..is it the one that came with premier?Do you have another to try?
When you tried for 119,did you change TP to 12239?

Al thanks again for the help. I had to leave my computer earlier today and I just saw this message. Yes I only have the Disecq switch that came with it. I hooked it back up today and tuned in 110 and downloaded channels from e8. I am unable to get signal quality on e7 or e5 and yes I did have TP on 12239. When I change ports on disecq only port2 is receiving signal. Also when I switch sats the upper right hand corner stays on e8. I have not moved the dish around anymore since tuning 110. Im guessing something may be wrong with switch since only port 2 is hot but I really know nothing about it.

try bypassing the switch and see if you have signal on other sats...otherwise your dish needs to be moved to get others(Skew)
