First off let me say that i have converted about 7 of these things using the pan4ariza files. They all work (except constant 8's across the front display)

This last stb that i tried to convert I opened wall and box mfg came back with all f's unlocker will not connect to it to erase or program or anything. Is there anything that I can do to correct this.

As of now the box shows no front display but front display will flash briefly when wall is opened and you hit refresh. Box will not display anything on tv when connected either.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

ok so i tried once again. Still the receiver does not detect in wall or unlocker (jkeys). I did make sure that the jtag was connected solid to the board. Any more help would be appreciated.

For some reason not all Arizas will Jtag with grounds in the Jtag cable.

C/P
Hook up your JTAG in your PC printer port and the other end in a 20 pin port located on the top right side of your AR Box .Now you need to ground the cable, loosen one screw of your computer back and put any wire (speakers of electrical) tighten the screw with the cable under it and do the same in your STB ARIZA 700 (there is a screw right beside the 20 Pin port on the board loosen it, circle your wire and tighten it) now you have a ground cable without any soldering (Credit goes here to MAXHUEY who invented this method).

Tried the jumper ground as suggested and still nothing on this piece of shit. Think that might have finally killed an ariza box. Oh well, I have gotten my money outta these things and then some. Long live fta and thank god for the nasa channel or i would go nuts:p

Funny that this happened to you as I got one this weekend that will not Jtag either. I've done about 20 with no problem so far but this one is dead.
Opened wall, screen went blank and thats it nothing.
It's now on the self waiting for a rainy day. LOL

Sorry to hear that Benny. I have done 5 others since starting on this one without problem. Strange how this happens. I too have this sitting on a shelf waiting for a rainy day (well today is a rainy day). When and if I find a solution to this I will post back.

well today was not a rainy day but decided that i would see if i could fuck this thing up more than it already is. (goal achieved).
With the thoughts that i cant do much more damage to this thing than is already been done, i decided i would play with it and what i did was nothing.
First I opened wall and it detected the correct serial and implementation number box key showed all f's (FF FF FF FF FF FF)
Unlocker or jkeys would not detect at all.
I decided that i would try to erase and flash with wall only. To my amazement I inputed the file ariza 700 only and it started to program (atleast the bar went across)
I shut down and figured that was too easy so started up gtrom loader and inputed the newest conversion ariza file and tried to download. It just sat there. Reconnected jtag and opened wall again. Now i get 0 for id 0 for implementation r00000000000 for serial number and 00 for box key. No program i have will detect the stb.
Oh well guess i have to go back to the drawing board.
I am not willing to give up yet this is what testing is all about Isn't it???

Wall would not detect this box cause ummm idiot here forgot to turn the damn switch to the on position. Sheesh i can be so stupid sometimes. worst thing is that i tried for almost half an hour to get it to read before i posted here.

well after all that frustration I connected the jumper ground from stb to pc as suggested and wall detected the stb and so did unlocker. I did manage to erase and program box. scanned both dish and bell and got all channels (waiting for them to roll). Could be a fluke that it worked or maybe the jumper was the key and i didnt have a good ground last time i connected the wire. I know it is not much but hopefully it helps someone out if they have this problem.

Having some similar problems. Made J-tag with resistors(100 oms) etc. and also have one that was purchased. The home made j-tag did give me some numbers in wall, but no implentation numbers. Won't do anything in J-keys as well. Purchased j-tag will not do anything. Now Home made j-tag will not do anything but box still works with original bins. I guess i will try the Ground thing and c what happens. What is this unlocker program you guys are talking about? Thanks

J-keys like i said will not work(thanks, i thought i was missing a program) tried the ground wire and still nothing in wall or J-keys. Does reciever have to be on as in watching t.v or just clock showing? just trying to gather info on what others have had luck with. Thanks This is definetly one of those stubborn ones.
