7100 POWER ON/OFF PROBLEM

I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing the problem that I have with a 7100. When the box sits in the standby mode, for any length of time, it does not respond to a power on/off from the remote. I have to power the 7100 off and on (main power), and then the box responds....until it sits in the standby mode for any length of time.

Is anyone else having this problem? f so, are there any fixes available?

Yes I have that same problem. Does your clock freeze also? I am assuming that it locks up during an ecm.

This lock up problem has been happening since around bin 140. I had a chance to reuse bin 137 in June for ten days, it was great. 9 day EPG & no freezing or lock ups.
I hope someone can figure out what the problem is & fix it.:grab:

I don't own one of these receivers so my help here is limited :(

Have you tried starting from scratch?
Write down your antenna settings cause it will be deleted.

1) Do a factory reset (Default)
2) Load in the factory file (Latest factory)

4) Do a factory reset again
5) Input all your antenna settings
6) Scan for channels

Sometimes making sure your loading in the latest factory software is the difference

Thanks for the advice Centauri, but the problem is with the bins and how they use the systems memory to handle the ECM's.

I've been having this problem as well. I loaded the fix yesterday (v186), and so far, it hasn't frozen. Although my wife has because a couple of "her shows" didn't record after I talked her into letting me get this stb. :D
