I recently added 82w to my 91W dish. I just cant get the 82W acting as I expected.
For instance, CBN (730) quality 80, strength 88, yet still show "scrambled"
If I move to CNN (500) I get picture instantly. When I do get 730, if for any reason I switch channels, I can't get back 730 without a prolonged waiting period of "scrambled"
Is it something I did not do properly or is 82W a weak bird?

I dont think the problem is a weak signal since you seem to have good sig and quality and it eventually comes in for you? I am thinking it is a software problem (in the bin file). What receiver and what bin are you using.

I have the latest bin for CW800 with 18" dish.
the 91W, on the same dish, works quite well, hence you see the confusion.
If one works, why not the other?

not a bin issue... you have good signal and quality and it sounds more like a weak switch.... seeing as how both sats are using same encryption and keys there really should be no nag or wait when switching channels.... since this only occurs when changing sats as well I would assume a cabling, switch, or LNB issue and most likely the switch

I'll do some trouble shooting and report.

Guys,
Finally had a chance to complete this. The problem was both a bad cable and switch. At time the quality would go from 70% to 0. Change the switch then the cable. Toggle with the LBN for a bit and whola!! 80% strength & 70- 90% quality on some channel, anyway.
Thanks for the guidance guys
