Hi, new to hd; my question is I’ve recently noticed an 8PSK module from a DN6000 are popping up at certain sites for sale stating they are compatible with VIEWSAT hd , COOLSAT hd… it’s obvious by looking at the size of the module it’s to big to fit into either the VIEWSAT hd , COOLSAT hd, and it looks like there is no other hardware that comes with the module... is it possible to install the 8PSK module DN6000 externally to Viewsat 9000 HD, are there any instruction how to install this module or photo’s ? Or should I just buy the 8psk module that installs into the Viewsat 9000 HD. Any help would be gratefully appreciation thanks…

The DN 6K 8PSK module is what was originally used on the Sonicview 8K, until clone boards came out. There was even discussion about which ran cooler.

In any event, however, you would still need the interface (adapter board) for an FTA HD receiver.

It is prolly easier to just buy the clone 8PSK for the VS 9000 with the adapter onboard.

As far as I know the only receivers it will work on are the sv8000, vs9000 and pansat 9200

I know the sv800 needs an adapter, not sure on the others since I dont have em
