Ariza Extreme Converion help please

I hate to ask this agian but every time I look there is a different post on what to use. Can anyone lead me to where I need to go. I have a Ariza Extreme and I would like to convert it One post will say you have to buy a chip the other will say you can erase it. I don't know what is best to use or even what. Can it be done with out replaceing the chip or can you just erase it. It doesn't matter to me what it is conveted to. It is new and still in the box, any help getting this up please.

The only reliable conversion is to replace the chip. In my mind, by the time you do this, it quite simply isn't worth it. $100 or so will get you a well supported STB and you won't need to worry about Ariza's nonsense.

I had been told it can be done without chip replacement, Is this false. I have no clue.

your best thing to do is use it for a doorstop and buy a good supported box for ex. viewsat

You remove the board, ship it out, pay a small fee and the board is returned as a Homesat. Been working a long time.

Well how about this then, I have a rom 102 rev 103 clean card that I know is good because I had 4 in total. I wanted to trade for a fta instead of selling it but just never did so I still have it, (1 1/2 years now) unless I end up trading it to some one.would it be easier just to get it poped rather than fooling with
with the Ariza. thought about that anyway because the other fta box I bought after that was a CS4000, shooting a 1000 here.
