Best EPG Population TP's and channels.

I came across a few of these posts and thought they were great for some who ask, and just put them together into this one thread. Thanx for their info for sure

There are actually more than one transponder on 119 that will populate the guide. The usual transponders are listed in the previous post but they are for EPG - and there is another on each for EEPG.

EPG will get you 2 or 3 days while the EEPG transponder will get you 7-9 days epg population (7 days max for VS Ultra - can't speak for other brands)

EPG is listed as "44-Hour Electronic Program Guide"
EEPG is listed as "9-Day Electronic Program Guide"

Lyngsat lists these transponders for EPG (channels in bold are most common mentioned in the forums to use to populate):

119 - EPG - 12486 tp19 - channels 200, 202, 303, 320
110 - EPG - 12516 tp21 - channels 119, 163, 195, 309, 321, 329, 330, 499

We should be using this transponder for EEPG:

119 - EEPG - 12472 tp18 - channels 146, 239, 418, 424, 427, 436, 438, 572

I would recommend channel 239 - WGN Chicago, I think the rest are all sports channels which may or may not be on air all the time.

More EPG (Electronic Program Guide) Populating Info...


Still see a little confusion about getting the GUIDE to fill.
Getting questions like "why does Dish 119 info fill up, but Dish 110 doesn't"?

To get a 7-Day Guide on Dish 110 and 119, press the SAT button on your remote.
Highlight "Dish Package" and press "OK".
If you don't have both 110 and 119, then select the Dish Sat that you do have.
Exit out of the menu and Press the Guide button.
Press the "FIND" button while in the guide and leave it sit on that channel for a few minutes.
The longer it sits, the more EPG will fill up, 7-Days max.


To get a 3-Day Guide on BEV, press the SAT button on your remote.
Highlight "BEV package"
If you don't have both both 82 and 91, then select the BEV Sat that you do have.
Exit out of the menu and Press the Guide button.
Press the "FIND" button while in the guide and leave it sit on that channel for a few minutes.
The longer it sits, the more EPG will fill up, 2-3 Days max.

The EPG can NOT fill up if you've selected "All SAT" from the SAT LIST button.
Also, it can not fill the BEV EPG while watching Dish and vice-versa...that is just NOT possible, because the EPG fills GUIDE data ONLY from the provider you are watching.

B** EPG TP Changed !!!
B** has been doing some moving of TP's. With this maintenance they have relocated the TP for the EPG (guide). To get the b** full 48hr EPG you will need to put it on a channel that is on TP 12311 like channel 352 or ch 218
as of May 2(approx)
