you know Ace rimmer is right, however i have Nfusion and it has been great for me so far, a few spiders but nothing major.
this unit is down for a minimal of minutes not days, you will find alot of pros and cons on this unit, so you be the judge...

for up time you cant beat the nfusion it is a great little receiver. Sonicview is good aswell.. And i would also look at the Captive works units they have been. at the top now for a long time and wont set ya back a lot of coin...

basically my opinion is this, do some research by checking out releases of bins etc, check out the support area for issues known for the units, then check out the specs, as you yourself know what your looking for... then I would goto the sponsors and check out the pricing and see which fits your budget.. but yes as the above have said.... sonicview, captiveworks, nfusion, and coolsat all seem to be the top units going right now... but as we have seem over time top for how long who knows.

alot of good answers for ya here,

but like "slowroller" said the BEST way to go is with DN ird and card (CAN be a lil risky as far as the card getting looped) but IF your careful it's the MOST stable way to go,

now IF your just wanting info. on FTA's, I can tell ya that I test a few ariza's (IMO a VERY lowend stb but fun to play with :), a FLU2700 conversion (an old dinosaur BUT FAR BETTER THAN THE ARIZA'S ROFLMAO!!!!), and the most up-to-date stb I have is a USED cw600p (captiveworks) and I just luv the hell out of it, it's a VERY good stb, VERY good support, and they can be bought new for 100 bux, it's alos very user friendly, I have never had a real problem with it yet,
I also know someone that has a cw800pvr and it's a sweet lil deal too,

now CNX and Sonicview are also great box's also with very good support also bI don't own either of those so I can't give a personal account on them,
but like I said this cw600p is very friendly, very affordable, and has very good support,....

I've had great luck with both Viewsat & Sonicview. Both are relativily easy to use & setup. Both rank about in the middle of the pack for file releases. They are a pretty good bang for the buck receivers. I have a Sonicview SV4000, Viewsat Ultra, VSPro.

I recommend a pvr unit of any make. This helps when they are down.

I have VS,SV,NFu and I like them all that said it all comes down to what is important to you.is the guide format, ease of use ,general layout, ect they have all come out on top first for support so it is hard to choose.buy one of each test them all and call it a hobby.Don't forget good cable is at least 40 per month.
