Hi all,
Please help me with this.
I have been using a CoolSat receiver. I just bought a CaptiveWorks XW-600S Premium receiver last week. I tried to to load new bin for the past few days but couldn't.
I have followed the instructions very closely but failed to load.
My receiver powers up fine. It shows "boot mode" and "standby mode" correctly.

I used the following to load the latest bin CW600 PV1.75:

Loader: Firmware V1.07P (Option: Download S/W; Select A Port: Com 2 --> because my null cable connect the receiver from PC port 2)

My receiver's STB information:
H/W Ver: V1.00
S/W Ver: V1.08
Loader Ver: V3.01

After I clicked "START" on the loader, the percentage meter stayed at 0%. It was supposed to go up and complete at 100%, right? Well, it did not. It's just frozen.

What went wrong? Please help me.

Thank you very much.

I was having the exact same problem when loading bin from my notebook untill I used my older desktop and was able to load.

I have posted the question, but no one replied as of yet.

Is that cable your using the same cable you used for your coolsat?

If so than maybe your cable is NOT null modem but a straight through. Thats what most coolsats use

Thanks so much for your help. :noclue: Until now, I have just known there are Null and Straight cables. LOL...
I will buy a null modem cable and try again. :chicken:

you did'nt get a null cable WITH you 600p?,

they USUALLY come with the null cable in the box,

anyhow like Centauri said with the cw600 stb's you NEED to use a null cable,....

keep us informed :),....

and remember to check your hardware to see what com port you are using
my usb adapter jumps sometimes from com 2 to com 6. just check to see if your upgrader is using the right com port number.

Yeah, u can't use your CS cable to load your CW. I ran into same problem, but my CW came with cable. I have to switch cables when I switch recievers then everything is  You will be very happy with your CW when you get to use it! JJ:coolup: Testing CW6&800 and CS 5&6000:cool:
