Hello moderator I tried to convert my 2500A to 2700 following Moderator crazytrain guidline. conversion when without a hitch until the last segment which I open BL loader and load latest bin wait for puff across and hit download and let it fully load and receiver reboot however before reboot occur a word "BURN" appeared on the screen. Thought I am OK and took the box and hooked to satellite cable but no display nor video comes up except snowee on the screen of the TV. when you turn on the box PUFF displayed followed with "F" and ON Do I need to convert pansat 2700 back to 2500A? Did conversion occured while performing the procedure or not? Do I start again from the beginning?. Your help is appreciated Thank you

Problem already seen, the conversion I posted first was the
b-75 conversion, 2500 to 2700 was originally the b-75 conversion
The puff files require a totally different conversion and came at a later
date

Correct me if i'm wrong tony

Did you use this conversion method for the b-75 NOT THE PUFF FILES

http://www.dssgeeks.com/forums/2500-2700-made-t14090/index.html

or

this conversion method which is for the puff files

http://www.dssgeeks.com/forums/pansat-2500-converted-t32922/index.html

Let us know and we can see bout getting it all fixed up

And so you know tony,
all the other threads are closed now too, everyone is running
in circles, and not knowing where you are at with it. When you
have one box/issue you are moving along with, keep it in the same
thread so everyone can help and know what you have or havent tried.

Let us know about the above though

Hello te2erd I pressumed that was and old bin file there and I see channels When I turn on the machine and I think it was american channels I noticed the sat. was echo 8 so I factory default. load the latest file and when completed a word "BURN" appeared on the screen then loaded latest bin and knight rider appeared. I opened BL loader 1.4 and loaded BOOT 60 and loaded latest file. I assumed that the box was ready for conversion I print crazytrain guidline when you send me the link. Is there any hope to fix the problem Please help and thank very much

Thanx Al, Te
sorry its turned into this

tony, if you want help, need to respect others and the rules,
you were not online when i answered, No one is going to want
to help unless they feel you are appreciating it

K, that is not the question I asked though, but sure that
is the problem. The conversion he refered to 2500 - 2700 was
for the b75 file conversion, using only the b75 files.
and tony says he loaded the puff file on it, that is the problem,
needs to start over from scratch, need to follow the conversions
all the way through properly, the second link i posted above tony
tells you how to convert to the 2700 then from there to the puff.

Try loading the Boot60, which would have been your next step if you
followed the one conversion all the way through.
Refer to the second link i gave you there for the rest of the proceedure
to convert to the puff.

This isnt much help but I converted my 2500 which was converted to 2700 but since it is running out of code space converted back to 2500 using Crazytrain Pansat 2500 converted to puff. Also used this for a Fortec Ultra. Worked fine on both. Did you use the 2700 to 2500 Loader Converter and boot 60 bin? Did you want to go back to 2500 or go to 2700. The way I understand it you can't use a puff file on a 2700 and coders aren't making bin files for 2700. I did not see a Burn in any of my sets it went exactly as described in Crazytrain thread

Thanx Saturn,
I think thats where it went wrong, way I read it, and without any proper answer back confirming it, seems like he used the original 2500-2700 conversion, but used the latest puff file as the final step, instead of the latest b-75 file.
Thanx for your input, much appreciated
