Hi there,
I loaded the new bin, it loaded fine, detected the version, then when I connect to the TV its turns on show channel 1558 and shuts off , doesn't boot up or show anything on the screen. Is it dead??:(

do the full reset. Factory reset/load factory bin /reset/load new bin/reset/ set dish settings and scan . this should clean it up real nice . if it is still like that you might need to Clear NVRAM but that is a last step thing and should only be done if all else fails

thanks , i went to the file section and found one file , is there only one.Coolsat6000_100_20060330.stb .also how do i factory reset if i cannot get into the menu or does it matter.

there is only one Coolsat6000_100_20060330.stb, i didnt think about it turning off. try loading the factory file then see whats up . dont load any other file other then the fac file . if it's good then do as i suggested

so i got this thing up at least it doesn't turn off , for some reason my password is no longer valid and I can't get in , i have tried it several time as well as 0000 , no luck any suggestions to get in and scan. thanks so much for all your help

it was working , now its says scramble channel, maybe its down again ...oh well c'est la vie

Load the latest file on there. Latest file is still good. If you still get scrambled channel, let it sit and see if the autoroll kicks in.
Throw it on a great quality signal channel and let it sit.

While its doing that, it is your job to sing and dance.
