is there a file out there that will do a database reset from the pc. got a cs4000 that only allows 7-10 sec:mad: before the remote becomes useless. cant get to datareset reset in the menu or the nvmap reset.

i dont think you can do a reset with out the remote. your dead in the water with out it . you can get them on ebay for cheap

try turninb off the reciever from the front then hold one of the ch buttons on and tyrn on the power. this should take you into a setup screen and you will see clear nvram do that and it will reset back to factory

i tried that and as soon as that that screen appears the remote is dead. dont even have the 10 secs. the top two lines are flashing in red NG NG -- NG NG, with a warning siren screeching. screen shows LNB OFF and its not, TV-NTSC, AND RF:NTSC are not highlighted. thanks
