I cannot get local on my 8000 with an adaptor installed. Today I installed newest bin 291 and scanned.
When I look at my local I note that all are two of each. Each has a different sid no. and 1 has freq of 21,000 the other 20000 and 5/6 or 2/3. Both indicate the 110 bird.
How do I get my locals? I can of course delete the duplicates.
Thanks

You need to check Lyngsat.com for the transponder settings.
I've had to edit my TP settings a few times.

Lyngsat reports my local with 20000, fec at 5/6 and matching sid number and tp 12501.
When I scan for that my scan seems to look for 21500 and 2/3 and comes up blank.
How do I change to look for 20000 and fec 5/6?
Thanks

Lyngsat reports the same data I am using, but my scan seems to use 21,500 and fec of 2/3 . How do I change to 20000 and fec 5/6?

menu>dish setting>scroll to Transponder>scroll to 12501>press the "Edit TP" (yellow) button:
Settings should be:
Frequency 12501.
Symbol Rate 20000.
Polarization Hor.
FEC 5/6.
Pilot Off.
Modulation DVB-QPSK.
Save the settings when exiting.
