Got an old Ariza 400/500 sitting around and was thinking of experimenting with it. Was wondering if anyone might have the Factory file for it? Can't seem to find any J-Tag points on the circuit board so looks like any thing done to it would have to be thru the RS-232. Also don't know if this is a "Global Tech" machine and might be similar to a Pansat 2500? I guess the thing to do is try to use the Ariza loader to download the channel list from receiver. There never was a Loader for those old units as the files always had it in them.

and the answer is no it can not be converted. The reason is it just does not have enough memory(SD RAM)
The 500 only has 16 meg, units like the 700 have 64 meg so I see no way that it can be done sorry

Oh well it was just athought! Converting the 700's had gone so well that I was feeling brave! That unit use to do NAG 2 but that was last year before all the new timing tricks. And with no J-Tag point this would be a one time attempt!!! I had hoped that maybe trying the Non J-Tag conversion 2500 to 2700 but I guess it's better left for FTA!!!!
