I am trying to flash new ipro 2k plus via Rs232; loader says "waiting for target". I know I have right com port and have switched power off/on on receiver several times with no result. I have tried Upgrade Software and Write User Data for up.hzf file with no luck. Any help would be great.

same problem here bd....let you know if figure it out...
i tried the same thing and apparently it wont write the factory bin.....so you have to write the newest one.....290hzf
ok, briandean...heres what i did.....hook up with the cable that came in the neosat box....make sure that you are on the right com port....usually port 1.....write the bin...(up _Ver_290.hzf.)......using I Pro 2000 loader...make sure the button next to port arrow is closed.....will say open first but have to close it...when you do a timer will start at the top..in the blue box.....in the box upgrade file....find --Ver_290.hzf....write the bin...(up _Ver_290.hzf) by pushing button.....upgrade software.....nothing will happen until you turn off the box from the back or unplug it and then turn it back on.....while it is rebooting it will take the update......if it doesnt then try it again....unplug it and then plug it back in......if it doesnt then your cable is not hook up right in back of stb or pc.....when its taking the update the progression box will be turning blue across it right above where it says connected....and the info box ...the big one will change also.....
use the usb port to load the factory flash. i have never used the rs232 port for anything on mine
