I don't know what happened... Here is my situation.

I had everything working fine. My wife was watching the sat inside and I moved the cable outside. Didn't unscrew anything, just pushed it over into the clip that it fell out of.

Signal - poof - gone. No signal, no quality, nothing. I figured I loosened a connection and shocked the disecq switch so I unscrewed my 110 and checked straight through to the receiver. Nothing.

Did I kill the lnbs? Did I kill the receiver?

Any suggestions to this newbie would be great!

I had an sv-4000 with 2 dual lnbfs hooked up through a switch... if that helps!

Thanks in advance.

Hey my man, it sounds like you blew the Discq switch, so did you hook it up direct to one LNB to see if it worked ?

sorry I see you did , try hooking it up straight through by checking both LNB's

I would do a Factory default and see if your signal will come in or maybe you accidentaly nocked off your antenna settings on the receiver

I tried the factory reset already too. I get no signal on either lnb on the straight pass through.

If you don't have a line tester or sat finder to check if you have power from the stb to the lnb, just touch the end of the cable to your tounge and see if you get a little jolt. If you have no power to the lnb, no signal. Now don't worry, it won't blow your tounge up, it like the jolt you get from a 9 volt battery, won't hurt you.

Thanks for all of the help!

McDuck's idea worked great - there was no "shock" up on my ladder at my switch.... followed it back down the line - one of my compression fittings had slipped at my grounding block.

Back up!
