The thumbs down issue I got raving reveiws on. you have convinced me. I just happend to aquire 2 bad receivers is obsurd. and the 100s of hours spent checking dishs moving dishs. receiving new receiver from manuacturer replacing switchs with new ones. changing cables checking & replacing lnbs. making an extra effort to check that I am doing every thing right. was a mistake on my part. even though the manufacturer admited to me that the 1st receiver was having a lot of problems & the version 2 model was a lot better receiver. which is what I now own. with no problems so far. the 1st receivers had a laptop cooler on them at all times. keeping them very cool. so yes tell me what I am doing wrong. because I am obviosly wrong. & it could not be anything else.

There was a lot of responce about the fact. in the last thread. that I was doing something wrong. I spelled out every thing that I did to fix the problem. my question was. [again] I will say. what am I dioing wrong. why is that so difficult to understsand. another question was why. I KEEP GETTING FEEDBACK FOR REASON OTHER THAN THAT. LIKE SARCASM.

ok for starters ya probably trying too hard.... first get a meter and check your dishes are aligned properly
forget about changing all the other shit like LNBs and such... a meter will tell ya they are working.
once dishes are correct then check your sat settings in box
next load the latest bin
wait for keys to roll
as for what you are missing I think it is a failure to read the blue stickies in this forum...all the information ya waould ever need is already posted there

this is getting old, why dont just say what the problem is rather then telling us what you did to fix a unknown error. no where have you told the problem ,you've only told us about " the 100s of hours spent checking dishs moving dishs" tell us or i will close this one up

All of the other receivers. the 1k,4k & the 8k version two. work perfect on the Identical setup. hooked to the same connection & other connections on the same dish. the 8k 1st models are the ones I have had problems with. Be assured I have tried everything on this sight. the only thing that has worked is receivers other than the two 8k version 1 models. I have had dolby digital problems with that receiver from day 1. march of 2007 no one has had an y answers.. I am not the only one from what I have read. anyone with a $12000.00 tv & surround system & has $930.00 invested in a hd receiver would expect the dolby digital to work as good as the sv1000. $125.00 with shipping included. this is a very small amount fo the problems I have experience with sv8k version 1.

JM, you have posted about six times and haven't really come close to actually describing your problems so that maybe someone can assist you.
Your grammar is atrocious, which only makes it more difficult to understand you.
Do you want help?

You are the one who seems to have a problem and can not even express it in a manner that anyone trying to help you can. ppl at this site bend over backwards trying to give help......Some ppl should sub. Perhaps this a solution for you.

By the way, some surround sound receivers just wont work with the SV8000 through HDMI...Harmon Kardon Receiver Model Is AVR 645, Harmon Kardon AVR 146, Pioneer VSX-D811S, Yamaha VX-861, and Pioneer Elite VSX-80TXV are just a few that are confirmed to work.

sorry but staff runs this site as we see fit. Don't start with the freeedom of speech thing you relinquished that when you signed up if you bothered to read the disclaimer. Now with that said, peopel were going out of their way yo try and help you but all we got was a second thread started with a continuation of the same classic bullshit.
So in closing may i suggest another couple of sites for you.... visit www.ftaspoonfed.com or their sister site www.ivdripfedfta.org
