1- only do one factory reset ,to many seem to cause problems with the STB
2- load the “SysCleanFile” file for your STB
3- load the factory file for your STB
4- load the last non ihub file for your STB
5- load the latest ihub file for your STB

remember to do a hard reboot between each step. That will be turning off the power with the main switch on the back side of your STB

always turn the power off (main power switch) before you insert or remove the thumb drive from the USB port

if this help then please post back with results so others can find the help they need

I have a friend with a SV 8000HD and he updated to the new file first then installed the Ihub and did not get THe IP config in the menu.
He did a hard reboot, switch in the back and then was able to find the IPconfig prompt in the menu. Hope this helps.

Just curious but when did the procedure for inserting the USB stick change? I've had my V1 8000 HD for quite some time now and have done it this way. Just plug in the stick, let it reckognize it,update, reboot, then use remove safely, and done. Save the "Hard Reboots" for problems that don't make sense like not senseing the USB stick. I know that the engineers have always had that instruction in every update to do a hard reboot to finish. If the unit was working fine after the prompt+ reboot, why hard reboot it? We've all seen the reports of someone who rebooted the unit and it didn't come back on. That made me kinda gun-shy on the hard reboots. These units(8000) are great but have had a few weird things that the tech team said they couldn't recreate in the lab. The lost signal issue, not reckognizeing USB, Green screen,Stuck on Booting but they all did get fixed.:D

I’ve recommended turning the power off before inserting a USB all along. Is it worth twenty seconds of time to prevent a static charge from damaging your unit? A whole lot of SV4000’s got tossed because of this
