Does ipPVR works on Solaris?

I've just bought a new solaris, loaded boot_v130 and latest bin and then trying to run the ipPVR, but it seems like the REC button on the remote doesn't trigger anything on the receiver....

Any ideas? Is there any newer boot file or do I need to apply factory_u27?

Please help.

Thanks.

the ipvr software has to be loaded on your computer and running in order to record to your computer's hard drive. at current time you can not playback to receiver you can only watch it on your computer.

Hi MrPibb123,

can you post what settings you have for the IPVR to work with Solaris?

because whatever you suggested and what's in the manuals, i've tried but it doesn't seem to work for some reason....

thanks,

Well let me tell you that the REC button on the remote doesn't work (yet) on my Solaris...

But this is a workaround that seems to work provided the "Internet" setup is correct and you can ping your receiver's IP address from your computer.

In my setup I have Solaris connected through lan cable directly to my notebook and my notebook is on wireless to my router. The proxy is currently on and IKS is running as well.

Then I did the following to record any upcoming program (only draw back is I couldn't record anything already started using this method):

1. Press Guide button
2. Go to the channel to record
3. Press the Forward button to go to any of the future program
4. Press OK button to select the program. The program would tun bright blue.
5. Highlighted program's font will now turn brown.
6. Press the Red F1 (wish) Button. You will be at the Wish and Recording Program page. The selected program(s) should be there.
7. Press the Blue F4 (record) button. An X would appear in the box.
8. Press the guide button again and it will take you back to the guide with the selected program in orange text. It will Start on time (With a buffer delay). You can't change channels though. If you change your mind with recording simply highlight the program and press ok.

I am using IPPVR 3.0 Beta on my Windows XP....

Please let me know if it worked for you guys. And don't forget to click on the THANKS button if it did.

Regards & enjoy....

Use a Nova remote, just press rec button.
