The box is up as Homesat right now. Chip errase is simple with no new chip required. Now if you want to pm me with this teams info i would be glad to donate a board.
Now they are aware the chip cannot be errased without removal, guess they know more than most.
Why this amuses me is the way the xtreme set up, load files, checksum (first chip ), then loads thru next chip.
The red light issue caused by first chip, the checksum created by second chip.
Would it not be easier to decompile, re-write new file which we know is possible but just very time consuming.

Truckman: I have a couple of those things that have never been touched, I have read so much about convertions and wondered what is the best thing out right now. And do I need to purchase anything like a new chip or something like that. Don't really care if I mess it up, I just want to do some testing.

is the xtreme up for B3V now? Is there anything you need to do to get it working? Also, is B3V up when you convert your Xtreme to Homesat? Please let me know asap. Also, is there any way to get DN from Newfoundland, Canada (Eastern most province). If so, do you know where you have to point the dish?

Also, where can I find the FAQ / How-To turn your Ariza Xtreme into a Homesat & can you make it as id10t proof as possible because I smrt ain't so duh (all kidding aside, make it as simple as possible - including pics would be nice)? Thx in advance to anyone who will help me.

No new chip required, just ship the board out, get it shipped back. Up on DN amd B*v.It's now 100 % homesat.

Me thinking you need to ship it out, the chip loader isn't cheap.
