In the setup menu of this IRD, if you turn off the EPG Stand-By Mode the box WONT, I repeat WONT, record any movies that you set up with the record button ( not sure if you manually set up time and date recordings ). So if you turn off the EPG SB mode and you see MovieX is coming on tonight at 2am but you will be asleep so you press the record button in the box, If the EPG StandBy Mode is off you will be very upset in the morning LOL. Hope this saves some of you some grief cause I sure have been boggled the last 2 days why I was missing so much stuff that I wanted to record ^__^.

but question, why would you turn off stand by epg? if it is tuned off, the epg wont update when you turn your receiver off

Actually the EPG updates fine with the EPG Mode Off When you turn off the IRD. Was just something I stumbled upon is all while testing the SV360E.

Not talking about recording in Standby. Talking about setting up recordings with the record button in the EPG but having the Standby Mode setting turned off.
