Hello...

New to the world of FTA. I got a cnx nano the other day & set it up to see what I could find. I have read all about N3, etc & know that it's a no go. The house I bought was setup for B3v, so I have what looks like a 30" dish? and a B3v switch for 4 rcvrs, 2 lnbs, power in & antenna in. I would guess that this is a SW24?

The problem that I'm having is that I can set it up to point to 119 & 110 respectively, but everything comes up scrambled...even with the 4.05 SW/1207_138 (?) patch. I have tried doing an FTA only search & every channel comes back scrambled or no video. I get the EPG, Info, etc...S & Q are both at 95%, I don't know what I could be doing wrong. I've tried other sats, and I see the response motor moving when going to one of those channels, but still nada. I've tried changing diseqc settings, legacy settings, etc & still nada. I've looked around several forums to see if anyone else has had the same issue, so it seems that the problem doesn't appear to be an issue with the hardware, but rather the operator.

Hopefully someone might have some ideas? Or are there no FTA or DN channels available in western canada anymore? Also, when I try to search 119 & 110...it seems as if they are B3v channels being pulled?

I'm now wondering if I need to move my dish...I'm guessing that it was pointed at 91/82? But I thought that it was ok, because it seems to be motorized. Also the fact that I get about 95 S&Q made me think that everything was ok...but as it seems to be b3v channels pulling down, maybe that's the issue?

Does anyone have experience with this?

Thanks!

If your Dish is motorized then it should be moving to 110/119 when call for the sats.

If the Dish is not motorized then you have to swing the Dish Westward by about 19' in order to point to 110/119.

But I think you already figured that out, didn't you?
