Need advice on Captain 8000HD

I'm thinking of getting a Captain 8000HD and wanted to ask any of you who have already what you think of it? Is the support good? Any issues with it?

The product itself is amazing...If youre doing B3V its the best picture for the price. If you want DN HD then youll need to look elsewhere since it won't work. Overall support is a lil slow but its there.

Thanks for telling me that since I only get DN. Are all the HD FTA units like that, they only get B3V?

WRONG Capt HD box only grabs a cpl of DN HD channels which are not in 8psk format

Hi Ferrocios, This was my first unit Captain8000HD and if anybody can give you any input on this unit I can!
Web Wizard is correct when he said you can only get HD from Bev which did not mean you couldn't get DN in digital because you can.
I have (3) units, a Captain8000HD,Pansat250SM and a CaptiveWorks700S, Now the Captain8000 is a wonderful machine but the support is very bad but lately it has been improving , there latest file wasn't that good because allot of people are getting the picture to freeze and go into scrambled mode which they haven't corrected with a new file and still didn't correct after there advise to remove old keys and do a factory reset so look at when they came out with the last file and use your own judgment!
Now as for as the Pansat250, I like the unit which files came out for it with in a day or two which I consider very fast support!
And finally the CaptiveWorks700S is a excellent machine with no problems what so ever and it with stand two or three of the ECM hits with no interruption of video or sound on DN or Bev.
Personally I don't see that much of a difference from HD to RGY hookup ,the picture is just as clear as HD !
