Need help loading file

I have read from previous posts to use the RS232 cable when loading sv 360 premier manually. I tried loading it with the null modem cable that came with the receiver but it's not working. Which one is the RS232 cable?

rs232 is the null modem cable......rs232 is just the type of connector on the cable

Okay so why can't I load the file manually into the STB?

did you unzip it first?

As far as I know, once we click on the file on this site, we have to unzip it first to access it. YES, i unzipped the file. When I open the loader for sv360 premier, I cant see any files. Why is that happening?

you have to browse and grab the file where it is unzipped.
Connect STB to PC
Open loader,go to STB..Connect..verify port1 ok
Then download file (PC to STB)
then browse and find unzipped..open folder and change file type to all files

I am just letting you know everyone, I am not a new user. I have been a member for over 5 years now. All I want to know is when I try sending the file to the STB, there is no response. When I load files to other receivers such as Viewsat, Captive Works, CNX, etc, I have no problem doing it. I am only having problem with sv360 premier. Why is that?

Hey Rashpal, just to let you know your not alone, I too have been at this a while and have hell with the sonicview loader, I think they need to make it more user freindly, I have loaded viewsat, captive works, coolsat, pansat, you name it and not had any problem but the sonicview software sucks in my opinion, maybe in the future sonicview will address it, if you can use the usb memory stick its a lot easier to work with.

i presume you guys are powering box off with the switch on rear,connect stb via com 1 select bin file/download power on switch,if aftr 3 attemps file not accepted its prob a bad file.i had this prob 1 tyme with vsat 7000 pvr and i erased the loader and downloaded again and it worked.just a thought.!;)

"as shoe guy says"sv 360 loader V 1.1-press 1st buttom and set port,then press 3rd buttom to browse file and to download s/w,then reboot and it should start downloading.
