To anyone who can help:
Friend has a Sonicview 360 Premiere - just purchased. Only has a Mac Laptop. Can he use the Mac to update his receiver software via USB thumb drive? If so, are the files different? How is is done?

Appreciate any help possible - this is the blind leading the blind, so keep in mind we are both relative neebies, and not very technical.

Thanks in advance for any assistance offered. Hope I have started this thread in the right place

my understanding is Only FAT32 is compatible with both Windows and Mac. so as long as the drive is formated to fat32 (it maybe already) just decompress the file and copy it to the thumb drive..

To format the drive in a PC, plug it in to a USB port. Click Start>> Computer in Windows Vista, or Start>>My Computer in XP. The drive will show up in either. It may be marked as a drive, as removable storage or by its name.

Right-click the drive. Click Format. Under File System, select FAT32. Do a full format.

You can also format the drive in a Mac. Again, insert it in a USB port. Go to Go>>Applications>>Utilities. Open Disc Utility.

On the left, select the thumb drive. Click Erase at the top of the right panel. In the Volume Format box, select MS-DOS File System. Also, choose a name. Click the Erase button at the bottom right.
