A: You forgat to select your correct comport and click OPEN
Q: When I click on Upgrade Software on the bottom it says Waiting for Target and box doesn’t update
A: Power off/on the ipro2000 from switch on the back of the unit. Also its possible you have chosen wrong Com port for your PC
Section 1b Upgrade Via USB
It is very important to understand how the USB function works on ipro2000. Many users complain that the USB function doesn’t work when in reality they do not know how to use it. The file has to be in .hzf format and be on the ROOT of the usb memory stick for example:
Eup.hzf
The E: is an example and can be any letter your computer assigns to the USB drive. Now the file name has to be up.hzf only if you are using the usb stick to upgrade from a factory bin version. If your upgrading from 1.8X to current bin file than bin can be either up.hzf or up_V18x.hzf format.
Summary: File has to be on root drive Xup.hzf and has to be named either up.hzf or up_V18X.hzf to work.
Next it is very important when you unplug a USB device to insure that you safely remove it. For example if you have a USB hard drive or another USB memory stick in your ipro2k go to MENU->STB SETUP->USB SETUP-> Remove USB device Safely
By doing this you insure not to have any problems when you connect another device.
IMPORTANT!!! When removing MEMORY STICK or USB HARD DRIVE DO NOT just unplug. CLICK USB button to remove safely. Also you can access the same screen by going to MENU->STB Setup->remove usb device safely. If you do not do this step than its possible for you to damage your usb device and also its possible that when you reinput a new device it is not detected properly.
Now your ready to upgrade via USB memory stick. Insert the device into the USB port. You will see a prompt asking you if you would like to upgrade. Click OK. On the next screen you will see another screen showing you the current version of your bin file and the one on the USB stick. Click OK again to continue with the upgrade. Your done.
Please remember that if you upgrading from a version to same version or lower version that NO PROMPT will be displayed. You will have to go to menu->installation->Upgrade by USB to upgrade to a lower version or to same version. The only time you will see a prompt is if your upgrading from a lower version to a higher version.
Remember to FACTORY DEFAULT your unit by going to MENU->Installation->Factory Default.
Your done
Section 1c Upgrade via Network
This is the easiest of all methods to use for upgrading. In this section I will cover not only the upgrading but also troubleshooting networking issues.
Go to menu->installation->Upgrade By network. On this screen you will see several forum site to chose from. I recommend futuredss.com. You have 2 options either the RED button or Blue button. The red button checks for updates to see what’s available. Click it and you will see the files that are hosted on the futuredss and its version/description. If you would like to download it click the BLUE button and the download will start.
Remember to FACTORY DEFAULT your unit by going to MENU->Installation->Factory Default.
Your done
Section 2a Troubleshooting network connections IKS
Many times users state that there network connection is not working. Usually this is due to the fact they unplug the Ethernet cable and then re-plugged it into the ipro and expect it work immediately. Just like windows when network cable is unplug and the re-plugged in to the box the ipro2k needs to get new IP address from your router than connect to our server. The easiest way to do this is to power off/on the ipro2k from the switch on the back.
You do not need to power off/on the unit if you would like to take a few extra steps. First off click the F4 button located in the hidden compartment of the remote. This will bring up the IKS panel. The status should state “login, ready for channel change” If you see any other status than click the Green button to disconnect than red button to reconnect to server. If you unit does not reconnect after 2 or 3 try’s than you have a problem with your local network.
Section 2b Troubleshooting local network connection
Go to menu->Stb setup->Network Setup
To check to see whether DHCP is working properly first change the type to STATIC, Click the RED button “apply” now change type back to DHCP and click Red button “apply” all numbers will turn BLANK and in 10 to 20 seconds the numbers should fill back in with correct DHCP information from your router. IF they number didn’t fill in after 20 seconds there is an issue with your router or your network cable.
How to setup IP information statically?
Using your computer with XP. Start up network connections (in control panel) In here you will see your current active network connections (you might have more than 1) double click on the active one which your computer is using. You will see Local are connection status screen. Click on support tab. Click on Details TAB. In this screen you will see all the ip information for your pc. Now using the information you see in this screen type the information into the ipro2k. Remember that the IP address cannot be same as your computer so change the ip by adding 10 to it. For example if your computers ip is 192.168.1.101 than the ipros will be 192.168.1.111. All other fields (subnet, gateway, dns) will be same numbers on ipro2k as in your computer.
Section 2c…………Wireless Network Setup
It is possible to set up the ipro with a wireless network using an adapter. Check your local retailer for options. This is more costly but also can be used to extend your wireless home network as well as allowing your ipro to function wirelessly. This does require a wireless router as well to work with.
Section 3a……………Hard drive/PVR setup
Remember if you had any USB device plugged into the USB port to click the USB button on remote located in the (hidden compartment) to remove it “safely” prior to unplugging it. If you do not do this than you might have an issue using a new device.
If this is the first time you are plugging in a hard drive Go to MENU->PVR->PVR SETUP-> HDD format and click OK. The format process can take from 5 seconds up to 3 minutes. After format is done you should see the total HDD size and the Free HDD Space. If you’re still having problems with your hard drive than use a partition utility such as partition magic to format the hard drive into Linux EXT2 format. You can also use gparted to accomplish this task.
If you have previously used this hard drive with ipro and you are Re-plugging it in than first off insure that you disconnected the previous device properly by clicking the USB button than just re-plug the hard drive in. To check if the installation went smoothly you can go to MENU->PVR->PVR SETUP if Total HDD size and Free HDD Space is displayed than you are ready to use your PVR. If it states on the right side “please wait while your hard drive is being initialized” than wait up to 3 minutes. If it’s not detected than try to power off/on your unit from the back switch
Section 3b………….Detect drive on PC/codecs to play hard drive on pc/convert to dvd
Use this program to detect your hd if you are using windows xp.
xxxx fs-driver.org/download.html
Also here is the K-Lite codec v2 was saying to use to play back video with media player.
xxxx free-codecs.com/K_Lite_Co...k_download.htm
And here is a nice program to convert your recordings to dvd.
Section 4 - Autoroll
Simple steps for manually enter keys for BEV / DN
And for Turning ON / OFF Autoroll

You may also click the green button to update keys by network (For this to function you must have internet wire plugged into the iPro) or the red button to update the keys via IKS (For this to function you must have internet wire plugged into ipro and have serial keys entered)
Section 5 - LNBs, Switches and Antenna Setup
Most problems people have with Antenna setup has to do with the fact of not knowing what type of LNB?s or switches are being used. Ipro2000 has the ability to setup proper lnb?s and switches automatically provided you are using Dish Net. lnb?s and switches. What does this mean? This means that the LNB?s you have on the dish are the types used by Dish Net. for their installations. All lnb?s and switches will be labeled as Dish Net. or Dish Pro or DP on them. If you had your installation done by a Dish Net. installer all equipment is Dish Net. If you had a private party installer install your dish for you, than you should find out from him what type of lnb?s and switches were used.
This FAQ is meant to have a basic setup for a novice user. I know I have not covered all equipment and all different possibilities of setting up equipment. But im assuming if you are using other equipment that you have the knowledge/expertise of setting up the Unit yourself. If not ask in our forum site.
Section 5a - How to identify if you have a Legacy LNB or DP LNB
Look here to see what kind of LNB you have:
How to identify if you have a Legacy LNB or DP LNB
There are 2 types of LNBs used by Dish Net. Legacy (older style) or DP LNB. IT is very simple to identify what type of LNBs you have. Look at the LNBs back side and you will notice either Dish Net or DP or Dish Pro Or DP Plus, or Dish Pro Plus
If you have the words Dish and Network on the LNB than you have LEGACY LNB.
If you have DP, or Dish Pro, or Dish Pro Plus, or DP PLUS you have a DP LNB.
Remember if your using switches that DP switches only work with DPLNBF and SW switches only work with Legacy switches. (Reminder if you had a Dish Net. installer install your dish for you than all equipment used is properly matched)
Ok this being said. If you have all Dish Net LNB equipment and they are installed properly according to Dish Net standards from an installer than the Neosat iPro 2000 auto setup will work perfectly for you without you having to know a thing about the antenna setup / configuration. If not please read below.
Section 5b - Configuring Legacy LNBs
Using Legacy LNBs. (LNBs which have the words Dish and Network on the backside of them) difference between twins and quads is how many coax outputs are on the LNB, the Twin has 2, the Quad has 4.
When using Twin/Quad Legacy LNBs for 110w, 119w without any switches all you have to do is run 1 wire from the LNB to the iPro 2000.
Antenna Setup
110w Legacy SW: Twin or Quad is Dish 2.
119w Legacy SW: Twin or Quad is Dish 1.
Section 5c - Configuring DP LNBs
DP LNBs (LNBs which state DP, Dish Pro, DP PLUS, DISH PRO PLUS on the back side)
If you are using a Twin DP LNB for 110,119 only than all you have to do is run 1 wire down from one DP LNB port to the back of the iPro 2000.
Antenna Settings
119w: DPLNB DiSEqC Port 1
110w: DPLNB DiSEqC Port 2
If you are using DP PLUS LNB to catch 110,119, 148/121/61.5 then all you have to do is run 1 wire from the 148/121/61.5 to the input of the twin DP PLUS LNB. From the DP PLUS LNB run 1 wire down to the Neosat iPro 2000.
Antenna Settings
119w: DPLNB DiSEqC Port 1
110w: DPLNB DiSEqC Port 2
61.5w/121w/148w DP LNB DiSEqC Port 3
If your using dp34 switch along with DP LNBs to catch 110, 119, 148/121/61.5 all you have to do is run 2 wires down from the Twin DP LNB (2 Single DP LNBs will also work) to port 1 and port 2 (if you are using single dp lnbs make sure to plug in 119 to port 1 and 110 to port 2) on the dp34. From 148/121/61.5 run a 1 wire down to the port 3 on the dp34. Insure all LNBs are DP LNBs
Antenna Settings
119w: DP LNB DiSEqC Port 1
110w: DP LNB DiSEqC Port 2
61.5w/121w/148w DP LNB DiSEqC Port 3
