the fan in my N.F. HD stb is making a wired noise:confused:,it's only 6 months old. Is there a replacement fan available,or can it be disconnected all to getther. thanks to anyone who replies:coolup:

open the hood, and take a measurement of the size of fan, and voltage, and Crapy Shack should have one for it, or call the NfusionHd depo and send it back for repair..only 2 opts...and it needs the fan shes a hot momma

I believe if you just call them they will just send out a replacement fan without you having to send it back but if you want to upgrade the fan it is a 5cm x 1cm fan which can be picked up at any local computer shop. Most of these fans come with 3 wires red, black and yellow and the factory fan only has 2 red and black. So you need to cut off the plug on both fans leaving about 2" to 3" of wire on each and then solder the factory plug on the aftermarket fan attaching the black wire to black and red to red. You can just cut the yellow wire total off of the fan because it is no use to you. Make sure to use some electrical tape or heat shrink to cover up your connections.
