Hey, I posted this in the files
http://www.dssgeeks.com/forums/pan4ariza-pansat-bin-t20287/index.html

FOR TESTERS ONLY, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

The scripts in this package allow you to mod Pansat 2700 bin, to work with converted Ariza 700.
All buttons of original Ariza 700 remote control should work, including big EPG and color buttons.
No hardware modification is required.

Required utilities:
- XVI32, can be found here http://www.chmaas.handshake.de/delphi/freeware/xvi32/xvi32.htm#download
- Fortec_Checker.exe.

Files:
- convert_clone.xsc, XVI32 script for clone safe mod
- convert_IR_A.xsc, support all buttons of Ariza 700 remote control.
- convert_text.xsc, an optional script to modify text strings.
- RemoteA.bas, QBasic program for generating remote control codes used in convert_IR_A.xsc.

Step by step instructions:
1. Put everything to a directory.
2. Open a command prompt window and go to that directory.
3. Type "PAN4AR [bl_bin_file]" (Please replace [bl_bin_file] with actual file name)
4. Run Fortec_Checker.exe, open [bl_bin_file] and click "Fix". It fixes checksum of bin file.

However I get a failure of 'copy' and both conversion scripts. It seems to take a second trying to copy, then instantly fails both other scripts. I tried different bins, both 2700 bins.

I just converted today, and I'm still a little confused about the 2500 or 2700 bins. The 'Lightning' bin I have on the STB now from what I gather is a 2500 bin thats modded. Yet the early JVVH bins in RBBB's collection were 2700? I've seen that people are modding 2500's to 2700's, along with a dozen other FTA's now cloned to Pansat files. Anyone care to clarify my confusion or failure of PAN4AR please do.

Merry Xmas.

Here is a slightly better instruction that is included named "Read First".

2. move that folder to your C: directory
3. place the bin file you want to convert in the PAN4AR folder.
4. Open a command prompt window and go to that directory.C:\PAN4AR
5. Type "PAN4AR "the name of the bin file you want to convert" without quotes.
Exit out of DOS. If every thing goes right you will end up with two files one still with the original file name and one back up with .bak on the end.
6. Fortec_Checker.exe,use the browse function next to the text window, open "the bin file you want to convert with the original file name in the PAN4AR folder at C:\PAN4AR" and click "Fix". It fixes checksum of bin file.
7. At this point you have a working ariza bin.load it with the X-87BL Loader . this work is thanks to::: The great effort of________

energyavs, jvvh, zhx, and others please give them thanks.AR>.

Instructions: 1 : Goto Windows "Start Menu" and click on it.
2 : Go up to "Run" and Click on it.
3 : Type in "cmd" then hit enter. A new window will open showing what you see below (I am showing a completed conversion, you`ll only see the first few lines when you start)
4 : Type in text that is in bold

Microsoft Windows 2000 [Version 5.00.2195]
(C) Copyright 1985-2000 Microsoft Corp.

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>cd\ (hit enter)

C:\>cd pan4ar (hit enter)

C:\PAN4AR>pan4ar 227.bin (hit enter)

(these lines below are generated automatically by the script process, you do not have to type any of this in)

C:\PAN4AR>copy 227.bin 227.bin.bak
1 file(s) copied.

C:\PAN4AR>XVI32.exe 227.bin /S=convert_clone.xsc

C:\PAN4AR>XVI32.exe 227.bin /S=convert_IR_A.xsc

C:\PAN4AR> ( at this prompt type exit or click on the close button X in the upper right of the window)

5 : Double click on "Fortec_Checker.exe", select the new converted bin, "227.bin" and click "Fix", then close program and you are now done.

If you have any errors it would be helpful to list the stage your at and the exact and complete error message.

If you can not see the "227.bin.bak" it may be that your system setting are set to hide system files and other extensions. If this is the case you can change that by opening any folder and going to Tools/folder Options/View and check the Advance Settings.

This is for others who like me couldn't get it to work. Like I said, I don't know DOS well. My problem was I coulnd't get to the correct folder/file.

Also, you can right click on the Bin (inside the Pan4ar folder) and select "Open with" and then browse for PAN4AR, it will do the rest.

Note- all the bins since 227 will fail, due to changes needed in the script. Once a new script is written you'll need to paste it in the Pan4ar folder, then be able to directly convert 2700 bins for Pariza.

This will work with older 2700 bins and not the newer ones we need now. It worked with bin 226 but not with bin 263 where we are at now. It can't find some strings in the bin that it is searching for with the newer bins. It would be great if the author would post an update.

Yes confirmed works with older files,

We need an update as it can not find addresses that are no longer there.

We need JVVH, or Chancy to help us. This would take them not much time to help out the ariza 700 clan.

Please SEND OUT THE WORD, we need help with these conversion files.

ttys! And they helped in the past, they will help again.

For those who don't know, PAN4AR3 will convert the tivo bins, but not the Puff.

I keep getting an error message when trying to use this program:XV132.
ERROR in line number 3:ADR $o? So then I click OK and it shows a fast moveing progress bar along with some other info. Then I get the error message-Can't go to address:$0. Get the same error message with XV Script intercepter when clicking Execute? Syntax Check is OK? Funny thing is the .bak file is created and the file folder still has the original name even though I get that error message. Have got the same message with every file I tried with it-Vortex 2700/Clone Safe-B75/X-87BL? All have a .bak file created for each one so the twin to them should be a converted bin in the folder now? Maybe I'm useing the PAN4AR program wrong? The instructions seem to be out of order for it to work? I call up the CMD from the PAN4AR folder and type in the info needed. Then I hit enter on the keyboard and that creates the .bak file along with the error messages. Then I exit CMD and use Fortec Checker on the file in folder and it says "Checksum Right" so it should be good to go?
