I have a Sonicveiw 8000 with 8SPK adaptor and I'm looking for a hard drive so I can store movies/tv programs. I would like help picking one out. I'v only had this box for about 2 months so I'm still learning. What brand and size would work best with my receiver? Also where could I get one @ such as Ebay? Also is there a posting that would help me connect it? Thanks for your time in advance.:) :)

from what i've read most any external USB HDD will work for you .there is an onboard SATA header that has not been activated in S/W and probably never will due both to internal heat issues . hope this helps

I use a SimpleTech 500gb external I have read all of the SimpleTech ones work

I tried a WD 500gb and a Maxtor 500GB and neither would work

I'm using a Lacie Porsche design 500gb External (with power supply). Works great. 40+ movies and counting!

Using external Maxtor 500 with external power supply and formated via desktop PC with Vista. Works well. Plus to clean up HD I reformatted using SV8000HD format command without problems
