I see your getting answers here. Anyways if your getting sound your doing better than most. Means your stb is unscrambling most of the ECM. Can't answer the reason for it though as you should have both but not one without the other. Storm moving thru this area so i would suggest waiting it out unless your game them rescan ect.

If you go back and read the threads in Dec., we were warned this was going to happen for the next 3 months. We still have a month to go. My DVD's are getting a workout now.

Hi, My best advise I can give you is what other people gave me buy a second box as a back up such as a CaptiveWorks,Pansat or a Viewsat.
The last file that Captain came out with didn't work right allot of scrambled channels but when I put in my Pansat250SM all channels came in and didn't kick out and come back in like the Captain did!

what you can do while we wait for a new bin is deleat all keys and do a hard reboot and wait for the keys to roll on dn & bev.worked for me, but be forwarned that you will get some feezing and the odd reboot. when it gets real bad go thru the same procedure of deleting keys etc. until a new fix is in.

I noticed that itll only freeze or reboot when the box has been on for a long time. I now turn off the box when no ones watching TV as well as removed the cover and now freezes are down by half!
