How To Populate EPG SS 500,700,4000,5000
The guide in the SonySat Receivers (both DSR 4000 and DSR 5000) is loaded in a couple of ways. In order for it to work correctly a few things need to be done in advance.
1) Make sure your time settings are correct (Menu Configuration Time Settings). For the Eastern TimeZone I use -5, with Summer Time on.
2) Make certain you loaded with data at least once using a Silver Surfer 1.XX (for the DSR 4000) or Juggernaut bin (for the DSR 5000). This will update your Satellite list (this helps the guide find the right pids).
3) Once the above are done there are to ways to load the grid:
* Easiest way is to use the remote to power off the unit at the end of the day. The guide is loaded automatically (and keys are rolled) while the unit is in standby. If you were watching DN when you powered off, DN's guide will be populated, if you were watching Bev when you powered off, Bev's guide will be populated.
* The other way to do it is to tune the unit to a channel that broadcasts the guide. Channel 200 will populate the guide on DN, Channel 2410 will populate the guide on Bev.
On DN,channels 200 or 207 is the best for 2 day guide - remember if you scanned sats you will need to unplug and replug (once) for guide to populate.Also remember to wait 10-20 minutes for the guide to actually populate.I also try to leave it on 200,when I go to bed.
Another suggestion for you lappy owners and broadband users(hehe),is to go to titantv dot com and set up for dn.It doesn't give you PPV info or your spotbeam locals.But it does give you the major network feeds,8000s,8100s,8200s,8300s,and those in the 240s.I keep it tabbed and it automatically refreshes as time passes.Very good tool for those with a command center set-up..
NOTE:One last thing, the guide is not populated while you are in the EPG.

Dish 9 Day is 146/239/418/424/427/436 or 438, you can also listen to any of the following music channels to get the 9 day guide: 6001,6008,6014,6021,6026,6027, 6028,6035,6040,6060,6071,6073,6074,6077,6080 or 6086
