This was my first trying with the falsh, downloaded then went to tv and did not get the pop up screen. This is what I did please tell me if i missed a step.
Downloaded from site, extracted to my desk top, then right clicked and put send to removalbe disk, then went to Tv and no pop up screen to complete.
Any help would be appreciated.
Also after downloading, with unit do you also have to rescan for channels, a friend told me that you don't have to every time, but i went by the sticky and according to that you do.

Right in the sticky atop this section, the shortcut right here:
http://www.dssgeeks.com/forums/properly-load-coolsat-t14461/index.html
1) Download and unzip both the ( COOLSAT6100_FAC_V0105) and NorW latest release
NOTE: ALL NorW bins and or Factory bins Must NOT be in a Zip file or any other file when put onto your flash drive !
2) Put your flash drive in the USB port on your computer right click on both files and then
select (Send To) on the dropdown list. Select (removable Disk) and click on it. The files should now be on your coolsat flash drive
3) With your receiver already turned on plug your coolsat flash drive into the USB port on the back of your coolsat 6100 receiver
the rest is in the sticky atop this section
as far as the re-scan goes it is recommended to do a factory reset after loading a new bin which would require a rescan
Good luck

i was having a great deal of trouble using usb following above instrctions .what was missing is after unzipping the file to a folder you then have to open the file so it shows as an ird file.then copy to your usb stick and it will work fine.the factory file doesn't seem to be neccessary after the first files are installed on a new machine.it may be required again after a factory reset.hope this helps some people.
