PVR Hard drive info

hi was just wondering if i could use a( Flash drive usb stick ) to time shift or record and if so how manny gigs would be required or minimum for it to work i wanted to use this until i get my external hard drive anny info will be greatly appreciated thank you in advance..

Recording is about 1 gig per hour. A 16 gig flash drive costs as much as a hard drive. I would use a hard drive because it can store a lot more.
