I read from another forum that if you want to reload the factory bin , you must use the serial port method and not the USB port via a flash drive. Is there any truth to that or it is just a myth?
I flashed in bin 156 using the USB method and everything seemed to go well. I was able to scan and get a lot of channels but the ppv channels are unwatchable due to weak signal. I don't have that problem with my old Coolsat. I am not sure flashing the CW800 with the factory bin and then with bin 156 will help. But before I try to flash it with a USB flash drive, I want to make sure that it is safe.:confused:
