Question

I have a question about my coolsat 6100 private and was woundering if anyone else has got the same problem.When i turn my rec. on i get 4 dashes across the reciever screen.I have no control with the remote other than standby, and when i put it in standby mode it reads LANG and when i click it again it goes to a clock .I have reloaded the factory files 3 times and it does the same thing.Any one had this problem????

I do not test the CS 6100 but see that no one has responded to your inquiry yet so till someone does, can you try a couple of things?

1) Disconnect the Sat cable from the receiver, load the Factory bin again. Check the Receiver Info for the S/W loaded.

Can you get to the Menu Screen now?

2) Load the latest bin, can you get to the Menu now?

If it is no for both.

Disconnect the Power cord from the power source for 5 minutes and try 1) and 2) above again.

Thanks Tech07 for the responce,I tried what you said and it still read ____on the rec.screen.I have no control with the remote at all other than stanby.I am really confussed with this one.Don't no how to get the rec. to responed.Don't no what to try next.Help

You are loading the 114 factory file, and you are sure it's not a clone ??

How are you trying to load the Factory bin? With the Data Transfer cable I hope.

Sounds like the Factory bin is not taking, that is why I asked you to try to load the latest bin.....With the Data Cable.
