If you can’t get the USB menu on the screen, then you will need to load the factory firmware using the RS-232 (serial) cable that came with your receiver or purchase one (DB9 Null Modem Cable F/F).

Loading the factory firmware using the serial port on the back of the unit.

1) Use the Serial Cable (DB9) and connect your receiver to COM port
(the unit’s back switch should be OFF)

3) Download the factory bin here:http://www.dssgeeks.com/forums/sv360elite-factory-v0103-t33737/index.html

3) Download the loader software here: http://www.dssgeeks.com/forums/sonicview-360-elite-t41178/index.html

4) Launch the loader software, and go to STB, then CONNECT

5) Turn your unit ON, then click on the Download button (picture of an arrow pointing down)

6) In the 'open file' window, change the file type to 'Main only' and select the factory firmware that you just downloaded

7) Watch your PC monitor; If the download does not start in 60 seconds, do not close the active window. Instead, turn the receiver OFF and back ON using the power switch on the back.
