Hey All,

Postman came today with my receiver. Why is it they leave the
'missed delivery' tags for small cheap items, making me have to
go to the post office after work but leave the expensive items
under my door mat?

Anyhoo,

Plugged her in, followed the loading instructions found around
here.

Loaded up the firmware on the USB. Installed as directed.

Downloaded the channels and guide but was getting a black
screen (Channel Scambled, blah blah). Waited a bit, as I figure
the keys probably needed to come in.

Bob's your Uncle! Up and running in under 20 min.

Wife was happy.

Now to tinker and play with all the features. Off to pick up a
500Gb external USB drive tonight.

Hopefully adding a few other birds will be just as easy. I'll tinker
with the T55 dish this weekend and see what I can get.

How is the 360 Premium for locking/finding sats? My other dish
was already setup so I didn't use the sat finding feature this
time around.

This receiver should pick up and lock in sats just as good as any other top notch company brands. You won't have any problems unless something due to unforseen circumstances happens.
Enjoy your new toy bud

Wowsers!

I have a whole lot of channels now.

Locked in 91,110,119.

119 was causing me some grief, tricky little bugger to find.

I used my Digisat II and an old BEV 3100 to identify the sats.

I need to tweak them a bit better, but it's late and I can do
that during the day.

Is there preferred transponders to tune in on for 110/119?

Happy new FTA user!

I toasted my Diseqc switch 2 days in. We had a 5 minute power
outage and it seemed to kill the free Diseqc switch from SonicView.

Ordered up a 'quality' switch. Back up and running for the most
part.

I've got 91,82,110 but for some reason 119 is being a pain.

I'm wondering if something is obscuring the signal?

I'm in Red Deer, AB so I'm wondering if the sat is low in the sky?

I'll try a different transponder.

Maybe when I get the dish back up on the roof it'll have a better
line of sight.

The joys of tinkering.

12224 (#1) for 110.
12239 (#2) for 119.

as Ledge statyed, try tuning in on this tp for signal and then auto scan
119 is weak for us albertans and this is where you want to begin..110 will hold the magority of viewing while 119 will recieve will recieve a few more but not a whole lot..
very similiar to 91 picking up more than 4x that of 82 on bev but because of different circumstanses
