Sat Problems

Ok I'll try to keep this short. I just bought a house that had a sat on it already. Sat says Drct TV and so do the 3 LNB's on it. However when I hooked it up to my new CW-800s I get sat 119 on Freq 12370/v/20000/5/6 and 110 on 12239/H/20000/5/6. But when I scan for channels I just get dup of the same channels. The LNB seem to have a switch built in but no matter what I change the settings to I still get the same channels. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance

Do not use the AUTO Tune or Fast Tune just because it is easy. Set up your dish manually using in the menu:
Sat 119
lnb type = ocsdp
lnb freq = 11250
Diseqc sw = lnb1
22Khz = OFF

Same setting for Sat110 except setting the Diseqc sw to lnb 2.

Direct TV lnbs on the dish is different from the D/N lnb and it may not be compatible. Perhaps that is why you are only getting 1 satellite. If you want to receive D/N programming , you almost have to get a DPRO 500 or 1000 dish.

a direct tv lnb will not work with most fta recievers.
