bought a coolsat 7100. updated factory software and updated to 206 bin. My question is: what satellites can I gaet channels with? BEV comes in real good, but scrambled. Also, the link for setup 7100 for dummies isn't there. Can you send me a link? I've had coolsat 7100 for 2 months with no channels.

B3v has gone to the dark side, you can aim at Dn.

You also need to physically move your dish to aim at the DN skies above.
Funny or not, I actually had to tell someone to do that

I'm finally and going on 110w and 119w. Many things to mention here!
first off, I could not update my cs7100pvr through usb. After much grief I found out my supplied USB drive was a piece of crap. It appeared to operate normally on my computer, but my coolsat would error out when loading. I got very lucky finding the fault using some outdated equipment. My advice to those who can't update through USB is: buy a new USB drive and flush the cs drive. After that, updating is a breeze. U can update from either front or back.
second off, I,m an idiot, or atleast very nieve. Use your desq switch properly! Mine says desq 2.0, but I used 1.0 with 119w at 1/0/0 and 110w at 2/0/0. If any more info on this, please let me know.
third, turn on your autoroll on bev and dish and leave it on! I left autoch/tp update on and everything else on this page except "beep with signal" on. Beep would cause unit to lock up.
Now my system is kick ass. I just about gave it away! Don't give up! Don't believe everything you read in help/support files. Thanks for your replies.
p.s. using FAC v1.16 and NOR v2.07..
