service not available phoenix

hi, i cannot get my phoenix to work. at the begging i loaded the main file as a boot file and came to find out i made that mistake and loaded boot file v 1.3 (is this the vergion I should be running?) an loaded main file v1.50.3. i did try setting up internet, and dish ( i have a dish net plus pointing at SAT 118 with a Diseqc 2.0 4X1 switch and when i go to antana settings - satellite choose my SAT along with the diseqc 1.0 port acording) what should my lnb type be and should lnb power be on or off? i type in a proxi server and port for the net. and have network setting as DHCP. well let me know if you need more info from my end i am new to all of this and do not know what else to do i would appreciate if i can chat on an online chat with someone that could gide me thrught and explain me things. all I get is service not available and my suns is disconnected. also is there a site that i can get the original boot file for my phoenix box? or am i ok with the v1.3? thanks to all

did you install both u27 and file v1.3 as main software? i never installed u27 could that be the problem?

Start over.
Do a factory default.
Then load v1.30. Remember to use "Boot" on loader.
Then load this new U38 factory file. Use "Main" on loader. Forget about U27:

Satellite 118 requires a special lnb.
Please tell us exactly what kind of dish you have.

thanks a lot i did over but with the u27 and worked but i will redo it with the new u38 today. and the 118 SAT.... this is the equipment that the company install in my house whitch is dish netplus and there is only one SAT that points to 118 and I am able to get 118 119 and 110 does it make sence? but all the channels from 118 says service not available. i also have pics of the dish itself if it helps. i would like to get the international channnels and so far no lock. thanks again.

Sounds like you have a handle on things. You should be getting 600+ channels between 110 and 119.

The international channels on 118 are blacked out till there is a fix for Nag3.

thanks again Ledge but I am trying to reload u38 ( i assume the menu will go back to the day i bought the box before i screw up ) all i get is the menu that looks like u27 i tried several times and did not succeed. also is there anything that i can do to get a better image? like i said i have a DNDNDNDNDNDNDNplus with a dishprolnb and a dp34 switch. if not i will go hi def in the future but i am trying to keep the cost low for now. if i go hi def will i need a HD switch or is this DP34 allready DH? witch box do you recomend for HD? thanks in advance, sorry last question what is what is JTAG and when is it needed? thanks again...

A few things You need to load the 38 file it is best loaded from your computer over the net experience has shown that serial loading does not always work the menue will look the same as 27 so do not worry. you need to do a reset (factory) install the .3 file also then do a factory reset again after this re set-up your sats and LNB and Switches and re-scan. No J needed with Nf. Respectfully . . .
