Hey folks, I am trying to get my 8000 up and running. I have loaded the factory file then reboot then new file and it comes up with no signal. I also am running a vs lite and was running cs 5000 have no prob getting a signal with either one, not sure what I'm doing wrong appreciate any and all info.

still have the same problem of no signal with my 8000 don't know what to dd.

Are you sure you're connecting the satellite cable into the right spot? On the 8000 its center top, not on the left of the back as on other boxes. Coming from Viewsat to Captain its happened to me more than once.:o

thanks for the reply hunky, the coaxil wasn't far enough in the unit, lengthened it and away we went. thanks again got me thinkin and that turned out to be the problem.
