I just bought a sonicview(living room) and my cw600s premiun put it in my room, however most of the time says "signal is weak" i watch a couple of hours and then got freeze.
I have one dish with 2 LNB's
any suggestion in how to fix this

sounds to me like the sv could be stealing the signal from the cw.. heavier switch may correct the issue.

the one in my room cw600s p, and settings are the same i have in the living room. Did not change them at all.
Basically i guess they are the same.
Should i change them o both have different ones?

settings meaning: LNB Freq, Type, Transporder, 22khz, Diseq #

Yes settings mean LNB.............. But if i am reading right, both units are showing weaker signals than the cw alone. If so, like wd said, probably need to change the switches. I believe cheeta is the flavor of choice for most peeps.

one last thing. Swtich is the diseq switch that is close to the dish.
I just don't want to assume anything :)

only way to test the switch is to hook each unit up individually straight from lnb and see if ya get the weak signal on the sat which is doing it.. but have a feeling ya got a switch thats on its way out.

individually signal are ok.
cw shows "weak signal" when my sonicview is on.
If i change the switch to a multiswitch would work?

a multi switch wont work for what oyu want cause you still need the diseqc switches after them..

I wouldn't run out and buy new switches just yet. It seems when they zap ol Bev it seems to happen. Wait for the new bin, problem will be solved. I have seen it almost everytime there is an ecm with bev!

How long of a cable run have you got? over 100'?

You are testing BEV, right?
Before you buy switches, here's 2 questions:
Do you want to add a 3rd stb in the future?
Do you want to add DN programming in the future?

If "no" to both, then buy the Chietas, 'cuz the diseqc's that came with your stb's are unreliable.

Sorry Laby, I was typing when you posted.....

Seems that I had the weak signal thing again last night, and I said to the wife...Bev is going down within 24 hourss...she slapped me and asked who the hell bev was, and who was she going down on! After explaining it over and over again, she went to bed. Low and behold, both bev and charlie went down today. Its almost like a built in warning system, but it hasnt failed yet. Interesting!
