I don't "need" to clone and just because I only have a couple of posts here i'm not new lol, I know about cloning but with newbies changing the popular terminology every day I try to cover all bases. Once again I don't "need" to clone I want to clone because if I do a complete scan and set up one receiver then all I would have to do to set the other two up would be to grab those boxes and take them over to the other main stb(which is very difficult to move) and clone them. so now that I answered your question to my question I assume you will be kind enough to tell me the procedure. I wasn't
aware that I had to justify my need for information, next time I will make sure to give a full explanation as to why I need some bit of info. Sorry I won't let it happen again. Thanks in advance for telling me how to clone a 700 to a 700

well ...my crystal ball is in the shop ..so i couldn't read ur mind :D

as for transferring data(cloning)...:

u connect ur working STB to ur new from the box STB with a Null Modem Serial cable

ur working STB will be connected to the TV so u can view the menu > system information ...but i forgot whats under that ...lol

just remind me whats under system information menu ...!

i tried to find the manual for the Ariza 700 i used to have ..its been a year ago since i sold it ...

Hi thanks for the response I've got the book and have tried at least three methods but none are working, I was hoping to find someone who has actualy done it recently. Thanks once again NOKIA. AR

It does work, but for some reason not for all. Whether it's timing, prevous file loaded or what i'm not sure but

cloning should be a last resort.

All someone was doing was trying to help and asking a question, to see if you had another problem that coulda been solved a different way. No need for the attitude,
You dont need to justify f**k all, but dont ask for help then pull an attitude when questions are asked, When people answer threads here, you should be thankful, they dont owe you anything or have to reply, They only want to help.
So next time think twice of the smart ass answer or I'm sure the staff will kindly show you to the door.
You have come up with some smart ass comment to almost everythread that you have jumped in on
wether or not you were trying to help, I'd be safe to say this would be the last warning,
You dont like how things are done, said or asked here, dont ask, and definetly
dont add your shit to someone elses thread that is totally irrelevant trying to instigate problems.

I have done this successfully in the past. But I was never able to transfer channel Data by itself. I presume that was because of the updated files from original.

I did this to help clear up a couple of buggy units that friends had. Mine was working but theirs had problems. Can't remember what though. Anyway it worked.

Have the Master STB connected to TV and turned on.
Connect the slave with the null cable and turn on.
Go to s/w transfer in master STB and select Code Mode.
Press OK and wait for all to finish.

Just a thought, it might not work with 295. This was with an older bin. ??
