Instructions for Coolsat 4000

It is recommended that you highlight, copy and paste these instructions into a Word Document and print them out. You will need them when you take the reciever to your TV.

It is Recommended that you Write Down All Dish Settings BEFORE Proceeding !!!!


*Before connecting or disconnecting the receiver to or from the TV/ PC, you must ensure the power switch is turned OFF the rear of the reciever!!!

Open a new folder and name it CoolSat 4000.
First you need to go to the files section in this Forum

Click on the blue links for active files and download to Coolsat 4000 folder


You will need Proloader V. 2.4 save to your CoolSat 4000 folder, the Factory BinV.120 is for the 4000 Pro only.(save to Coolsat folder) The proloader will require the stb file.

Note: You only require one factory Bin file for the download proceedure,(If you selected the BinV.120 above skip this paragraph) both are provided In the blue link below;

You will need the Factory BinV.100 for the 4000 Plus and BinV.120 for the 4000 Pro, the original factory bin required for your model. Save to Coolsat folder as this is the stb file the proloader will require.

You will need the newest current active bin which can be found in the link below
When you FIRST get to link , go to thread toolbar--Thread Tools--Subscribe to thread:This gets you an Email when new bins arrive.
Then download newest bin to Coosat 4000 folder.

Go to CS 4000 folder and unzip files
To unzip files , right click on file, hit extract all.

Note the proloader will require the unzipped stb file for it to work

You now have all the tools to load your receiver and are ready to

Go to Menu/System settings and write down your settings for each Satellite, Go to Options and record those as well you will need them later.

Loading New File To Coolsat 4000

Go to menu/system settings/Data base reset/enter 0000/Factory set/press OK/ select Yes/

Power Off receiver using switch on back of unit & disconnect from TV
• Connect receiver to PC using supplied cable & and plug in AC power cord
• Turn receiver power switch back on.
• Open up Coolsat Pro Loader File
• Hit Auto Detect--Exit
Using browse option, locate and select **Coolsat 4000-120-STB file
**This will load the original factory program to the receiver. You will see new files loading to 100%, and then old files erasing and writing up to 100%.

TOPCAT'S EXPLANATION>
• When complete, power off the receiver.
• Disconnect the receiver from PC
• Reconnect the receiver to your TV and turn power switch on.
• Using the remote, select System Setting in the main menu, in the submenu select Database Reset, and then Factory Set, Press OK
• When factory set is complete (language option screen appears), power off receiver and disconnect from TV.
• Reconnect receiver to PC and switch power back on
• Open up Coolsat Pro Loader File
• Using browse option, locate and select from your folder the new STB file.
eg. Coolsat 4000-149-STB Once again, you will see the new files loading to 100% and old files erasing and writing to 100%.
• When complete, power off the Coolsat and disconnect from PC
• Reconnect to TV and switch power back on.
• Using the remote, select Menu --> System Setting --> Database Reset, enter passworld and select Factory Set, Press OK
After you click on save you will be back in Main Screen.
Select language you want
• Now, press Menu --> Installation --> Dish Setting, click Ok, enter password and scroll to your first satellite.You will need to enter your settings (as you wrote them down) for each Satellite LNB type, DiSEqC to 1.0 and commit the correct ports of the DiSEqC switch if you are using one.Press Exit and save.
• Next go to Options, click OK . Turn on all SIDS, Renumbering Bev and Auto CH/TP update.
• Go to Renumbering local Ch, click OK and enter your locale. Press exit and save.
• Go to Auto Sacn; select (example) 91.0W Nimiq 1,3 as the satellite, and then select OK to run the scan. Repeat for each satellite. Once complete, exit from Main Menu.

Exit until you return to full screen. The screen will say "Scramble Channel" until the keys roll and then your television program will appear.

I did try here but unfortunated no luck !
