The antenna setup is really an intermittent problem. Most of the time you only get 119W ; another time you get both for a short time and later 110W will show no signal. Every now then, the signal disappears and I am not able to get anything. There is something wrong with the CW800S, probably a compatibility problem with DPRO Dual LNBF. I tried 4 different 4X1 DisEqC switches with no success. At times, the switch was unable to to switch from 119 to 110, I can get all the channels on 119 and nothing on 110. Other time, both 110 and 119 show up as just 1 satellite (119). It seems like the switch is shorted or something. I am totally puzzled by it.

The cheap DisEqC which comes with the receiver may be the culprit. I have 3 other switches which are identical with different labels; they behave exactly the same way. I am getting a couple other switches by other manufacturers to try it out and see if it will make a difference.

Does it look like this picture in the link? http://www.dssgeeks.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=310&d=1174219119

the dish pro twin LNB needs no switch as it is built into the lnb.

119
LNB = ocs-dp
diseqc = port1

110
LNB = ocs-dp
diseqc = port2

in this case it could be a switch,, I was able to clear mine up by doing a factory reset and reconfigure and rescan

Thanks, my LNB does look like that (Twin Oro Dual) and I also have a Quad LNB which I am using now on my Dish 500 in place of the Twin. The reason I was using a DisEqC switch was because I had a 30" Pansat Dish with a Linear LNB to receive 121W. This configuration works for my old Coolsat 4000PRO and Visionsat IV200. I realize my Twin and Quad LNB have built-in switches and don't require external DisEqC switch and I actually set it up like that the Visionsat recognizes that both antenna works and show good signal strength and quality. The CW800S, however, recognizes only 119W. All channel I scanned before on 110W were unwatchable due to weak signal.

Last night, I did a factory flash and reloaded Bin 160 and everything looked normal, both 119W and 110W were recognized. I was so happy thinking that the factory flash fixed the problem. But 110W is gone this morning and all I got left is 119W.

My antenna configuration is set up as you suggested.

try moving 110 to port 4 on the diseqc and config setting in the box for the same

I moved 110 to port4 and the result is still the same. I am very disappointed at this. My guess is either there is a problem in the tuner where it is unable to select and show 110 and let 119 dominate since it shows 119 where 110 should be. My second guess is the isolation problem that the cheapy 4x! DisEqC switch's inability to shield 110 from 119. I bought a couple Digiwave switches which will be coming in a few days. They advertise to have 4 diodes inside compared to just 2 in most switches. I am counting on that to work. Meanwhile I still have the IV200 to watch.........

I finally solved the riddle of weak signal and inability to find 110W. The solution is simple actually. So simple, I can't believe how simple it is. By just disconnecting the Visionsat IV200 on the loop back output, I see strong signal showing up on 110W setup window both signal strength and quality and the satellite is identified.

I bought both the CW800S and the IV200Plus within a 10 day period. I strapped them together with the cable from the dish into the CW800S and the IV200 is connected to the loop back output of the CW800S, so I can test them at the same time. That's where the problem lies. It is very apparent that the tuner sensitivity is less in the CW800S; so with the IV200 connected to it (even the power switch is not turned on from its front panel), the signal is actually splitted and part of it is going into the IV200 and that makes the signal going in even weaker. After all, my Dish 500 antenna is connected to my receiver via a 100 feet cable and there is probably a lot of signal loss. I had done that in the past with other receivers and never had any problem. Well, I learn something the hard way this time.

With this problem going away, I can say that the CW800S is a good receiver and I recommend it. The IV200PLUS is a better receiver in terms of better color, picture and easier to set up an d is perhaps a better buy.
