USB solution to the problem.
Didn't have much luck with V653 and V654 on my USB. But I tried this technique and it worked.

1. Insert the USB into STB light on USB should light up, leave the USB in the STB.

2. Power off the STB from the front, wait a few seconds.

3. Power on the STB from the front when the word BOOT appears on the STB
quickly press the Menu button on the STB and release. The USB should work.
