Viewsat Platinum- Help

Hi,
I have just bought a Viewsat platinum off a friend. The last bin that was intsalled was a year old. It has been sitting for that long so I loaded the laltest bin into it. Deleted all the channels, scanned it twice. I am not getting all the stations still. I am missing channels like speed 150 though some pay per view are coming.

I have a viewsat extreme so I am aware of how the bin needs to be loaded. Is there anything that I am missing.
pls help me with suggestions. asw to why all the channels are not coming in

ok, if your extreme is on at the same time as the platinum it could be stealing some of the signal strength away from the platinum.. so try this.. turn the extreme off and scan the plat.. if still comes out with same results, then would have to ask what weather etc is like.

Throw the factory bin and redo todays bin.With the new GUI,it might need a fresh cleaning.

Thanks for your Replys, I did not have both on at the same time ,and the weather was good, so I will try the factory bin I have never put one in is it the same as loading a file bin or should I find some guide online to do it.

do factory default twice to clean all data

Thanks ,I did as instructed put the new factory bin in and the latest bin file, then did a scan for 119 & 110.I only got 188 total channels and when i switch channels onthe main screen i only get sattilite 119. I went into the sat key and made sure I was on all sattilites and stiil only get 119 channels. when i go into the channel list there are a few 110 channels on there but on the main screen there are only the channels from 119. I retried reloading all again and the same thing.
any idea on what is going on

Do the factory default again,set up 1 sat and scan it,then set up 2nd sat and turn lnb power to off on 1st sat and then scan Sat 2.Now something else to try,scan 1st sat twice,then 2 sat twice?

This updates the transponder information.
Start from scratch again.
Factory reset.
Load factory file.
Load Satinfo file.
Load Latest fix.
Do settings.
Scan 1 satellite at a time.
Watch SPEED channel.
